A promotional code you enter during registration or at the cashier to activate a specific bonus. Some bonuses credit automatically; others only trigger when you enter the correct code at the right stage.
What a bonus code is
A bonus code is a string of letters or numbers that unlocks a specific casino promotion. You enter it at the point of registration, when making a deposit in the cashier, or on a dedicated promotions page. The casino's system reads the code and applies the corresponding offer to your account.
Not all bonuses require a code. Many promotions are applied automatically based on which page you visited before registering, or simply because you made a qualifying deposit. Codes are most commonly used for promotions targeted at specific player groups, affiliate partners, or time-limited offers.
When codes go wrong
The most common issue is entering a bonus code too late. If a code must be entered during registration and you add it afterward at the cashier, it will not work. The reverse is also true. Read the terms of the specific promotion to find out exactly where and when the code needs to be entered. Casinos typically will not apply a missed code retroactively.
Are codes worth chasing?
If you are going to claim a bonus at a casino anyway, using a relevant code costs nothing and could activate a better offer than the default. There is no downside. The only risk is entering an expired or invalid code and not noticing, which means you miss the bonus entirely. Always verify that a code is current before making a deposit around it.
