Gambling Disclaimer
Important information about how Bankroll Bob works, the risks of gambling, and your responsibilities as a player.
Last updated: 2 May 2026
Bankroll Bob is a casino review and information website. We're not a casino, we don't take bets, and nothing on this site is gambling advice. This page sets out clearly what we do, what we don't, and what you need to know before you gamble online.
We are not a gambling operator
Bankroll Bob does not operate any form of gambling. We do not:
- Take deposits or hold player funds.
- Run casino games, sports betting, lotteries, or any other form of gambling.
- Pay out winnings.
- Hold a gambling licence in Canada or anywhere else.
Every casino we cover is a separate, independent business with its own licensing, terms, and operations. When you click through to one of them and sign up, your relationship is with that casino — not with us.
Information, not advice
Everything on Bankroll Bob — reviews, scoring, comparisons, bonus information, guides, articles — is provided for informational purposes only. It is not:
- Financial advice.
- Legal advice.
- Tax advice.
- Gambling advice or a recommendation that you should gamble.
You are responsible for your own gambling decisions. If you need professional advice on any of the above, please speak to a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Check the law where you live
Online gambling laws vary by country, by province, and sometimes by city. Before signing up with any casino:
- Confirm online gambling is legal in your jurisdiction. In Canada, this varies by province — Ontario, for example, has its own regulated market through iGaming Ontario, while other provinces operate differently.
- Confirm you meet the legal gambling age. This is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec, and 19 in the rest of Canada. Other countries vary.
- Check whether the specific casino is licensed to accept players from your country and province. A casino being available online doesn't mean it's legally available to you.
If online gambling is illegal where you live, do not use this site to find or sign up with online casinos. We do not encourage anyone to gamble illegally.
We don't guarantee anything about third-party casinos
We review casinos as honestly and thoroughly as we can — see our How we review casinos page for our methodology. But we cannot and do not guarantee:
- That any casino will pay out your winnings.
- That any casino will honour its bonus terms.
- That any casino's licence is currently valid (licences can be revoked or suspended without notice).
- That any casino's games are fair (though we look at this in our reviews).
- That any casino will continue to operate, or will not change its terms.
- That bonus offers shown on our site are still being offered or available to you.
Casinos are operated by separate businesses. We have no control over them. If a casino treats you unfairly, takes your money, or shuts down, that is a matter between you and that casino — and potentially their regulator. We may flag persistent issues on our Untrustworthy Casinos page, but we have no power to recover funds, resolve disputes, or take action on your behalf.
Gambling involves risk
This is the most important part of this page.
You can lose money gambling. Most people who gamble lose money over time.
Online casinos are designed so the house has a mathematical edge — that's how they stay in business. Individual sessions can produce wins, but over enough time, the maths favours the casino. This is true of every legitimate casino we cover.
Before you gamble:
- Only use money you can genuinely afford to lose.
- Don't gamble with money set aside for rent, bills, food, or other essentials.
- Don't borrow money to gamble.
- Don't chase losses — trying to win back what you've lost is the most common path to bigger losses.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stick to them.
- Don't gamble when you're stressed, drunk, on drugs, or otherwise not making clear decisions.
Bonuses, free spins, and "no deposit" offers are marketing — they almost always come with wagering requirements that mean the value is far lower than the headline number suggests. Always read bonus terms in full before opting in.
If gambling is becoming a problem
Gambling should be entertainment. If it stops being fun — if you're chasing losses, hiding it from people close to you, gambling more than you intended, or feeling stressed or anxious about it — it's time to step back and get support.
Free, confidential support is available in Canada:
- ConnexOntario — 1-866-531-2600 — 24/7, free, confidential. Available across Canada despite the Ontario name. connexontario.ca
- Canada Safety Council — Gambling Resources — canadasafetycouncil.org
- Gamblers Anonymous Canada — gamblersanonymous.org
- Provincial responsible gambling programmes — most provinces run their own helplines and self-exclusion programmes. Search "[your province] responsible gambling" or visit the relevant provincial gambling regulator's site.
If you want to stop gambling on a specific casino site, most licensed casinos offer self-exclusion tools — usually in account settings under "responsible gambling" or "limits". Many provinces also operate centralised self-exclusion programmes that block you from multiple operators at once.
For more information and resources, see our Responsible Gambling page.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bankroll Bob and its operators are not liable for:
- Any money lost while gambling at any casino, whether or not you found that casino through our site.
- Any disputes, losses, or damages arising from your dealings with any third-party casino or service.
- Any decisions you make based on information on this site, including decisions to register with a casino, deposit funds, accept a bonus, or play any game.
- Any indirect or consequential losses, including lost time, lost opportunities, or emotional distress.
This disclaimer works alongside the limitation of liability set out in our Terms and Conditions. Nothing on this page or anywhere on the site limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
